About

Emerging artist, Julie Anna Kaufman is grateful for the opportunity to use her gifts and talents with art in ways that speak of God's presence and creation to her audience.

Renowned for connecting with children in their play environments, her paintings beautifully and emotionally display natural and spontaneous moments. "I want to challenge myself with figures, children in particular, because of the authenticity they exude and innocent curiosity of life."  Through wider subject matter, her style elicits the emotions of joy and grief, the depth of real life, through her art.

While figurative pieces is what she is most recognized for, Kaufman has broadened her portfolio with abstract techniques allowing the viewer space for imagination.

North Carolina native, Julie Anna has a BA in Fine Art from Meredith College, including international studies in Italy and France.  Additionally, she has studied with award winning, nationally recognized instructors including Bob Rankin, Nicole Kennedy, John Poon, and Kim English. Kaufman is a member of the Portrait Society of America.

Besides the commissions she is painting, she also currently is an active Advisory Board Member for the up and coming Art Center to be built in Cornelius, N.C.
